Well, I’m here – in the lovely city that for many years has become another home to me…..what’s more, it wasn’t just Wilmar’s lovely smiling face that greeted me in the airport last night (the flight was about an hour late 🙁 ) but his wonderful Marlene and daughters Sophie and Sarah. Huge hugs, a massive bunch of yellow roses, from the family…such a blessing!
The trip was fine – thankfully, I was ‘bumped up’ to ‘Clase Ejecutiva’ – Business Class, which meant a nice large, reclining (flat to a bed!) seat, for the long haul from Madrid to Cali. It makes such an amazing difference, I’m grateful to God that it was possible!
Almost immediately, on the way from the airport, Wilmar was telling me that various pastors have told him how many miracles there were here from the last visit…. it’s a fantastic way to begin another three weeks, and no doubt, over the next few days, I’ll hear some of those stories from the pastors themselves. One, Giovanni Cruz, said there were many in his church alone…. one Wilmar did tell me about was a lady prayed for in a Social Security Hospital, who had (if I recall right) badly ulcerated flesh on her arm, it was gruesome to look at…. she has NO ulcers now, and brand new flesh….
Amazing to arrive to hear stories so early in the trip! Foot on the accelerator this time, please, Lord!
Today, I’m spending some time with Wilmar, and Pastor William Castaño, going over the programme, and doubtless adding to it! One of my great desires as early as possible in this trip is to see Dario, my friend about whom you might recall from November (well, originally November 2012, but much more so from last year). I’m looking forward to my ‘team’ arriving over the next few days – Chris is on his way today I think, but the way the flights worked it means he’s not here until Sunday evening: the French (& Dutch!) ‘contingent’ arrive Tuesday evening, and Beny and Danny from Mexico, Wednesday.
